Smart Education is currently recruiting for a Care Enabler to join a specialist SEN setting in Stratford-upon-Avon on a permanent basis. This is a vital, hands-on role supporting children and young people aged 3–19 with a range of complex needs, ensuring their care, safety and wellbeing is supported throughout the school day.
You will work across all classrooms, supporting both pupils and staff with personal care and daily routines, while assisting Teaching Assistants and teachers to ensure pupils can access learning in a safe, supportive and dignified environment.

Job requirements:
• Health and Social Care qualification (Level 2 or above)
• Experience in a care-based role (e.g. care assistant, support worker, SEN support)
• Confident supporting personal care needs, including toileting and hygiene
• Experience or willingness to support lifting, hoisting and manual handling
• Understanding of supporting individuals with complex physical and learning needs
• Patient, compassionate and resilient approach
• Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams
Role responsibilities:
• Provide personal care support, including toileting, hygiene and changing
• Support pupils with physical needs, including lifting and positioning using appropriate equipment such as hoists
• Follow manual handling procedures and training to ensure safe practice
• Work across all classrooms supporting teachers and Teaching Assistants
• Assist with daily routines, transitions and activities throughout the school day
• Promote pupils’ dignity, independence and wellbeing
• Support behaviour, engagement and emotional regulation
• Help maintain a safe, clean and supportive learning environment
